Accessing Fort Liberty: Providing you do not have a DoD ID card; you will need to stop at the Fort Liberty Visitor Center near All American ACP (Access Control Point) On the All-American Freeway for check in procedures (both show on Google Map). The Visitor Center is on the left as you approach the main ACP booths. Adults will need to present a valid Real-ID. ID. A state-issued driver’s license or ID card will work.

Directions to the Museum: Please note the I-295 bypass will directly connects I-95 to Fort Liberty. If you have any other questions, please call 910-432-3443.
From South of Fayetteville/Fort Liberty: On I-95 North take Exit #401. Follow I-95 Bus/US 301, All American Freeway stay in left lane to Fort Liberty Visitor Center. Obtain a visitor pass follow All-American Freeway. Turn Left at the light to Zabitosky Road. Turn right at the light to Ardennes Street, drive approximately 1.41 miles. The museum will be on the right.
From North of Fayetteville/Fort Liberty: On I-95 South take Exit 586. Follow Highway 295 South to All American Frwy Exit. Stay in left lane to Fort Liberty Visitor Center (if you need a pass). Follow All American Freeway. Turn left to Zabitosky Road. Turn right to Ardennes Street. Drive on Ardennes Street, the museum will be on your right, approximately 1.41 miles

MUSEUM THEATER
The Museum Theater provides visitors with an introduction to “The Division” and to the Museum. The film, “Being an All-American”, explores what it means to be a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, part of the nation’s Global Response Force. The Theater seats sixty-four, has a stage for presentations, and is available for booking Tuesday through Saturday during normal hours of operations to

MUSEUM EVENTS

Paratrooper Training. Museum Staff lead new Paratrooper orientation courses in the Museum Theater and Gallery.
Change of Command Ceremonies: During the Spring and Summer All 82d Airborne Division battalion level change of command ceremonies occur on the Museum’s parade ground at Stang Field. These events are free and open to the public.


Family Events. The 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum and 82nd Airborne Division Historical Society jointly sponsor several Family themed events on the Museum grounds during Halloween, Christmas, and Easter. These events are free and open to the public.

Memorial Service: During May, the Museum is the location of a Memorial Service honoring All-American Soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in war, conflict, and peacetime engagements. The memorial service is part of the 82nd Airborne Division All American Week activities. These events are free and open to the public.
RESEARCH SUPPORT
Museum Archive & Library. The Museum archives & the Library documents the Division’s history from its origins to present day consisting of audio, video, photographs, documents, newspapers, books, yearbooks, flags, banners, uniforms, equipment, and unit colors covering major military operations, important moments in time, unit history, firsthand accounts, and personal stories. The museum staff uses the archives and library to support the 82d Airborne Division and organic, subordinate unit requests for historical information.
Military Units. 82d Airborne Division units needing historical research, please call or see the museum to define your requirement and send a formal request.
Public at Large. The Museum accepts requests for historical research on individuals, units, or specific 82d events by the public, but are completed as a courtesy, as the museum staff has time. Walk-in research requests by the public are not allowed due to limited staffing, primary support of the Division, and the museum’s calendar of events. On-site research can only be done Tuesday through Friday during normal museum hours of operation. A confirmed appointment with a museum staff member is needed
